USB sticks are widely used nowadays, especially for office men and students. Sometimes we might encounter with unintelligible text, which will cause big trouble for us or the company we are working for, if the damaged files are important company articles. Why the files can’t be displayed properly or deleted in USB disk? What could we do about that?
Pulling the USB disk by force during the using procedure is the main reason, that will lead to file corruption and chaos on the file allocation table(FAT); Besides, virus in USB disk can also makes gibberish.
We could use two methods following to repair the file while suffering from it.
1 Connect the USB drive to computer, right-click the USB dick icon and select “property—tool—error—start to check” to fix the issue.
2 If the system prompts “access denied” while renaming the file, just choose “run” from the start menu, type in commands of “chkdsk drive: /f” to check the drive and repair it.
If you just want to delete the file, there are some tips for you.
1 Use tool of winrar for deleting. First, zip the files that can’t displayed properly, then select “delete files after archiving” to remove the file.
2 If the file could be renamed, just open the task manager by typing in command of “cmd” to end the explorer process, switch to “cmd” command prompt and type in “Del file’s name” to delete the file.
3 If the disk file engine has been broken, we can utilize ghost to make damaged file’s partitions into image files, then use Ghost explorer to browse these image files, find out the damaged files and remove it, in the end revert the image files to the source partition.
Actually using the professional data recovery software for repairing is the best solution for these situation, not only recovering the lost data in the maximum extent, but also avoiding second loss of data due to misoperation.
