Generally speaking, the hard drive will displayed on the screen while linking to the computer, but sometimes they could be missing. And here are some frequent causes.
1 Check the connection between hard drive and computer. The unshown hard drive may aroused by a floppy data line. If there is nothing wrong with the data line, you can change a computer interface and try again.
2 After checking out the connection situation of data line and ensuring the normally using of USB port, you could try to pull out the master interface and then insert it for several times. As a poor contact may cause hard drive’ disappearing.
3 The drive has crashed.
4 Under normal circumstances there will display a prompt on the bottom right corner on the screen, like an exclamation mark or a question mark. Click the icon, fix the problem according to the prompt info.
5 If it is caused by system, you can ghost or re-install the system. Pay attention, remember to make backups for significant data before system’s reloading.
Link hard drive to the laptop, if you can’t figure out it’s situation. Unlike desktop, there is no malfunction of data line or removable hard disk caused by unstable voltage, as its power supply mode of laptop.
If you have ruled all these reasons out, and make sure it’s disk’s problem. The first thing you should do is cutting down the electricity of the mobile hard disk for avoiding of disk damage, and send the disk to a computer repair shop. Note that, there must be a clean environment inside the disk. So just find a profession data recovery center to restore the data from the disk before repairing.
Pay attention, do not keep long time of energized state for USB disk, SD card, mobile hard disk, or any other storage device, as the unstable voltage in the desktop may causes equipment failures and data loss.
