How does data recovery work?

We have know that all our deleted data can be recovered. But do you know how does it work? To better retrieve our data, we need to know more about the theory of data recovery.

1.            The way the hard drive store data.

The hard drive has many different partitions and our files are located on these partitions. The system will mark their sizes and locations. When we delete a file, it just be marked as “deleted” and does not actually disappear from its partition. But the difference is that the space which this file occupied before now are free for other data. Once other new data are written on this hard drive, they may replace the location of deleted file. Then the deleted file has completely disappeared and cannot be recovered.

2.            About the second damage to data.

“Second  data damage” indeed is data overwritten. Second data damage may reduce the success rate  of data recovery. What are the things that could cause second data damage?

⑴Overwritten by new data. That means you do much on your computer or you put new file on drive disk.

⑵The drive disk has been formatted or you have run disk defragmenter.

⑶Interrupt the scanning process or the power supply in data recovering.

To take measures as soon as possible. No matter what are reasons for your data losing, The longer you wait, the worse the problem become. So you should find a corresponding solving method at the first time. That will help improve the success rate of data recovery.

Before you choose a certain method to recover data, you should find the causes of data losing. Only find the root of your losing, can you minimize your data losing. Do not just blindly try your own method and do not blindly choose a software. You should review and inspecting the professionalism degree of a software with simple operation.
