Summer is coming, and the CPU’s temperature is growing higher and higher, which may lead to malfunction or burn out of CPU easily. So what’s the appropriate temperature for CPU, and what can we do about that?
Generally speaking, it’s all about computer heat emission. Temperature of CPU in normal laptops is always higher than desktops. For it’s small volume, laptops can’t provide effective heat treatment. Here are some influence factors for CPU’s temperature.
1 Environment temperature
There is a strong connection between CPU temperature and the external environment. In summer, higher temperature of CPU is normal. Theoretically, temperature of CPU will under 50 degrees Celsius in it’s leisure time, 65 degrees Celsius with a few work, 75 degrees while completely loaded. Excessive temperature will causes insistently automatic restart or blue screen of death. In the heat of summer, you’s better void of long-running, that will shorten it’s service life. Compare with summer, winter is more comfortable for CPU. With it’s low environment temperature, CPU’s temperature will be controlled at 30 degrees Celsius.
2 Mainframe and cooling fan
If the quality of cooling fan is very poor or unreasonable design of air ducts in mainframe, that will lead to low rotating speed and ineffective heat dissipation. According to that, you should choose mainframe and cooling fan with good quality while buying a computer.
3 An Overclock
Overclocking CUP needs a increased voltage, which will lead to a corresponding increase of power consumption and heat release. It is very important of setting an appropriate voltage while overclocking, for radiator can’t stand high voltage and so does CPU when voltage is low. Considering of these, overclocking is not recommended.
