The first step you should do, as you would any other file, is checking your Recycle Bin, assuming the file is still available there. If you deleted a video and are not able to restore it from the recycle bin, the only feasible way to recover the video would be using 3rd party data recovery software.
Computers delete files by the simple process of removing reference to the file from the index held on the disk – otherwise, it would take as long to delete as it overwrites the old data.
